Garmin Forerunner 955 Status

What is the latest timing expectation for the Garmin Forerunner 955? I’m trying to hold off replacing my 935 and am getting anxious.

It used to be 3 years, but now it has been more like two years.

Unless your 935 is at death's door, just wait. I had a 935 and now have a 945, and you really aren't missing that much. Some of the new stuff is cool, but in no way worth the steep upgrade price…

I agree, the 945 screen is small, it gives the illusion of larger size with the big bezel.

I'm not sold on LTE, but I'd upgrade my 945 to a 955 if the screen saw a sizeable increase.

tl;dr - Solar, with even smaller screen and bigger solar bezels in Instinct.
And with Fenix it's not so big:

Thanks for the links. So in about 150 Euro extra charge to the normal models. Then one must not forget that the normal models have fallen in the meantime clearly in the price. Therefore we talk here partly without problems of 2-300 Euro more. I think, it is currently not worth it with the Fenix.

655 in the fall and 955/F7 in the spring sounds about right. Or perhaps a 745 first with the features added to the 245 plus triathlon?

I would guess 955 in Q2 (2021), but as Fenix got "facelift" version or "tick/tock" style, so it might be more like Q3/Q4 for Fenix 7.

Smells like the same timing pattern as with F3HR and F5xplus. So 955 in Spring 2021.

Probably with Solar option.

I would like to see a 945 plus with a 1.3 inch screen as a really lightweight alternative to the Fenix 6 pro. LTE is not an option, 5G at most.

Nothing in those applications suggests an LTE watch. I wonder if the authors of the article even looked at the applications or are they just looking for views?

Right... although it seems to show 2 models. Both have NFC (Pay), BLE and ANT+ while only 1 seems to have Wifi (so... Pro / Music)?

(Reviewing the co-location reports shows this difference)

My guess is a 655/745. I think the spring launch of the 955 makes most sense, esp since they just released the new solar f6.
