What is the latest timing expectation for the Garmin Forerunner 955? I’m trying to hold off replacing my 935 and am getting anxious.

It used to be 3 years, but now it has been more like two years.

Unless your 935 is at death's door, just wait. I had a 935 and now have a 945, and you really aren't missing that much. Some of the new stuff is cool, but in no way worth the steep upgrade price…
I agree, the 945 screen is small, it gives the illusion of larger size with the big bezel.
I'm not sold on LTE, but I'd upgrade my 945 to a 955 if the screen saw a sizeable increase.
News of what? I'm not expecting 955 this year. Also that 1030 plus isn't yet released so details of that "daily workout suggestions" is still not public.
then.... fenix 6 pro or 945?
it depends ;-). if you'd like firmware updates that are released more often and you're happy with a heavier watch - go for the f6pro; if you want to go light and don't mind about a few missing features like power manager, workout videos etc...go for the 945. my take is that it will take about a half a year more until the next gen is released (call it however you'd like); plus there are currently some very good deals on both the fenix and the 945.
What are the needs? I would go with 935 if that does all that you need. It has better GPS and you will save money for the next upgrade, if there's reason to upgrade :)
I want it for triathlon. I come from fenix 3 and I don't know which one to choose. fenix 3 is very good but I don't like it. I liked 910 better
Well. See the features side by side: https://www.dcrainmaker.com/product-comparison-calculator?type=watch&ids=102074%2C72457%2C97965#results
935 as also Galileo and better GPS than the new Sony's.

And decide :) I'm biased as I've always thought Fenix series as lifestyle watches, not for sports :D Unfortunately they nowadays have more features than the Forerunner's :(
Thanks a lot. Looked at him. I think I prefer the 945 although it is more plastic. But I think it looks better when it comes to sports. I just want it to do sports

Yes, more features. But which ones are useful? (Or actually work correct, in stead of just produce numbers without meaning)
I bought the expensive top line forerunner for better battery live and because ‘everyone’ was telling garmin has more features than suunto.
Well, they have, and none of them I personally find usefull. (I mainly use gps, time, navigation and notifications, but my old suunto ambit did a fine job on that)
I like gadgets and reading all about them, but there isn’t a single feature I find it worth to upgrade.
Yes, more features. But which ones are useful?
Well, Fenix has everything that 945 has as far as I know, and then some eg. Power modes, so if we compare Fenix and 945, I think I have to say that 945 is lagging.
Then it's another thing which you personally find useful. For me maps are useful, music and payments not, which are new things after 935. Without maps I think I would probably still use 935 as it has everything else plus better GPS.
Of course as engineer I like data and all Firstbeat stuff is great :) Then how useful and good data they are giving, it another story.

So if that is coming to 945 later this year, I think we can be pretty sure that no 955 is coming this year. Of course otherwise it would be selling point for the new version :)
