Forerunner 945 SW 4.10 is now live

This update can be downloaded with Garmin Express or automatically with Garmin Connect Mobile. 

Change Log

  • Add new Virtual Run activity profile. This enables broadcast of speed and heart rate information to virtual running applications such as Zwift.
  • Add Widget Glances, a new way to view widget information. The option to enable is found in the Widgets menu.
  • Add Low Heart Rate to the Abnormal Heart Rate Alert feature.
  • Various improvements for battery performance.
  • Fix an issue that was causing loss of treadmill calibration data. For best results, perform an outdoor run before your first treadmill activity.
  • Improvements to breathworks
  • Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements.

    This is functionally the same release as the beta based on overall feedback. We continue to bring in improvements as well as fixes for issues found in the wild at the quickest rate we can.

    , is there a page where I can find a separate change log for ANT/BLE/BT versions, GPS updates, Sensor Hub updates, etc?

    I am still on 2.80 as that is stable for me and I just lost way too much time on fixing my watch before. Since that the only version I was considering is 3.30. However I am thinking about to stay on SW 2.80 while updating the rest, like ANT/BLE/BT from 3.60 to 5.01, Sensor HUB from 2.50 to 3.20, GPS from 2.50 to 2.70 therefore I am looking for the change logs. Do you think it makes sense to do these updates w/o updating the main SW? Or shall I just wait for another stable main SW release in the future. (I call stable when it has no major flaws and main functionality of the watch is working perfectly.)

    Can we please get a virtual bike activity please so hr data can be sent to zwift also. Or even just add the ability to broadcast hr over Bluetooth via the menu.

    Didn’t there used to be a way to start a saved workout during an activity? I can only start one before I hit “start”

    Hi Garmin Team thanks for these quick updates. Since I updated to version 4.00 in my forerunner 945 my altimeter goes up 80 meters everyday. Do you know if it will be fixed in 4.10? in 3.90 was working perfectly. Please review this bug. thanks

    LOL!.  Last week in the beta thread you were "rolling your eyes" and said:

    "So it’s been a week now... Will it make to Production? Rolling eyes".

    Seven days later and you now find the release to be fast?

    How do you know this is a bug? Have you reported it to Garmin Support and have them confirm with you that it is a bug? Have you checked the settings on your watch?
