Forerunner 945 Series SW 4.00 is now live

This update can be downloaded with Garmin Express or automatically through Garmin Connect Mobile.

Change Log

  • Fixed an issue with ephemeris downloads over BLE which could cause units to experience slow GPS fix times.

Note: We understand that there are users who have reported decreased battery life since the 3.90 update. There is nothing in 4.00 that addresses this and we would first ask that anyone seeing this symptom perform a hard reset by holding the power button down until the device turns off before charging to 100% again. If this is not successful then you are experiencing an issue that we are actively investigating.

  • first walk with my brandnew fr945 today + vivoactive 3 music (also latest firmware)

at the start the 945 (blue line) was ok, but then it went crazy and went completely off :-(

hope this was just because of the first gps-activity and will never happen again....far off reality Flushed

    I have a similar problem on my FR945 (Software Version: 4.00 | GPS: 2.70 | Sensor Hub: 3.20)

I hesitate to update from 3.9. My current battery life is tremendous.

I want to talk about another problem in SW 4.00

The clock slows down incredibly when you turn on Timers. For example, set the timer for 30 minutes or any hours and press start, but you will see that the clock reacts too late and the timer does not advance every second. In the video I shared below, you can better observe the problem.

Former Member Can you examine the problem which I was talking about?

And when I try again today, I saw that the counter is progressing regularly, but there are "timers" not always working stably, maybe I got better results right now because the processing load in RAM memory decreases after restarting the watch, but this does not indicate an error in the application.

A problem that must be solved in the next update, can you examine this problem in detail? Former Member Thank you in advance.

Hydration widget added with SW 3.90 does not log, there is no data from the previous day, so when you do not sync the clock until the evening of that day, hydration data from the previous day are automatically deleted.

Also, alerts don't work stably.  For example, I set the alerts frequent, and after setting this, I normally need to receive alert every 1 hour, but it does not come regularly after the first alert.

And, the hydration value I entered from the watch does not appear in my connect account from time to time, the data appears on the watch after repeating the synchronization several times.

In the new update, I would like you to add the hydration widget history function Former Member
