Watch display cracked in front of me without external force.

My 945 is less than 20 days old. The screen cracked in front me when I was having dinner at my dinner table. There was no external force other than my fingers. Can’t believe the screen can be that fragile. I have 3 other Garmin over the years and never have one cracked even when I did abuse them during a workout. However, Garmin don’t believe it is a quality issue in this instance and refuse to do anything about it. I am sending it back to Garmin for a physical examination but interested to know what do you guys think about this issue and if you have encountered any similar issues. Thanks.

It is not dirt, it cracked from inside, very smooth on the surface.

Omg mine also just cracked? Or I don’t know when I just looked at the time while I was swimming and I have a white spot on the screen. Almost the same

spot as yours. I have no idea how I did this.

A white spot from the temperature change that will most likely go away, or an actual crack?

I do feel a crack and it hasn’t gone away.

If you can feel the crack and it won't change if you gently rub it with your fingernail (e.g. extreme sticky dirt), contact Garmin support. Your display might have been incorrectly mounted (under tension) and therefore cracked. With normal care and use it is nearly impossible to crack the display unless excessive abusive force is applied.

Check Aliexpress they offer screens replacements set for the 945 only a few dollars or euros.

This happened to me this week. Sitting at my desk it wasn’t cracked before I got to the office and it was cracked by lunch. I called Garmin and they were quick to send me a mew one out (2days) and I will send my old one back. It seems this may be a common issue with the way they were quick to make it right. Customer service was great and I will now be a customer for life.

Amazing, I have exactly the same scratch!

There is obviously a manufacturing problem.

They're not the same cracks or scratches. They're in the same area. The most exposed and likely place where the watch face would hit an object with your normal arm swing while at your side.
