after today maps update 2019.20 the reboot and map loading takes very long time?

is this normal, after every reboot i have to wait arround 5 minutes to load the maps?

still on 3.15beta FW

I’ve had this before, but today I installed 3.30 and the 2019.20 eu topo and have maps load time as usual with no delay on reboot.
Around me takes about 5 seconds and loads.

I just updated my maps EU topo. Restarted the watch and no problems

So moved all these from the watch away, now it's fast again! :D But of course, no maps.
BTW. That gmapsup4.img is openstreetmap I installed.

And now reinstalling the maps..

After installing it was normal…

Same happened here with v2.80.

I just thought that it was some processing for the maps done in the watch, but now did a second power on/off and it's still slow as hell, but not like 5 minutes like the initial load. More like one or two.

The same for me after installing the update last night. And.... dare press "Around Me", as it never goes anywhere.

Wonder if 3.30 makes the maps load faster?

If 3.15 beta has slow map load times, I would guess that no.

Maybe 3.30 will fix that... you never know.

Oh and it was TopoActive Europe 2019.20 that's slow, if there was updates also to the others which might not be slow. Or is someone having this issue with any other region?

I finally upgraded mine as well... I'm on firmware 3.08 with 2019.20 Topo Europe it only took a few seconds.

it could be, that it is not 5 minutes, but from the feeling 2-3 minutes, every time you disconnect the watch from Garmin Express.

i am not the map specialist, but i am living in europe!

Mine loaded fast too... I'm on 3.15 beta firmware...
