Bug: ohr working while using chest strap

Hello,

Aś I stated in the title - ohr doesn't switch off - it works although hrm strap is connected (gym training)

I wonder then if the hr numbers come from strap or optical sensor... Disappointed

  • The leds are likely flashing and not on solid (they go solid if being used in an activity)

Garmin Pay uses the OHR to determine if the watch has been taken off, and the pin needs to be re-entered.

  • Ok, thanks for explanation! I was wrong then :)

  • As Jim says, the sensor is not just reporting HR.  I'm sure the HR you are recording is coming from the strap.  But it may also be doing PulseOx that wouldn't be coming from the strap.

I’ve experienced what I think is noise from the OHR while using the Garmin Chest strap that I think skews my HR numbers.  The problem is resolved when I turn off the OHR. The problem I now have is that you can only turn off the OHR globally so now I can’t use OHR during non-activity which is when I find it to be useful.  Garmin, PLEASE make it so that I can toggle OHR on and off by activity type.
