945 no longer connecting to phone

Within the last day or so neither myself nor two friends who also have the 945 can connect to it with our phones. From the phone it's simply not visible as a bluethooth unit and on the watch itself it's just stuck on Waiting for Phone. We're all running Android, but I suspect the issue is on the watch side. Rebooting everything makes no difference. I've mailed Garmin support too, but there's been no response yet.

  • same issue here since a few days... remove watch from android phone and pair again in android does the trick for me!

    After removing previously paired bluetooth devices it would finally show up again. It would then connect and show the PIN number on the watch that I could enter on the phone. The first couple of times this is as far as it got before it lost the connection again. I think it was on the 4th attempt that it would actually connect and sync after pairing it.

    A follow up on this. After readding it and getting it to work it lost the connection again after a couple of hours. Removing it from the phone and pairing it again got it working once again. It's clearly super buggy at the moment.

  • Same here today. Plus, all buttons didn´t response. Everytime I pushed a button (any button) turned the light on. No widgets, no activities, no nothing. I rebooted and everything was fine again. Weird. I´m on beta 2.72.

    I'm not on the beta. It just lost connection after an hour or so again. This is not usable.

    Experiencing similar issues with my 945. Won't reconnect after phone has been in airplane mode. The only way so far to get it connected again is by removing it both in garmin connect AND in previously paired Bluetooth devices in Android settings.

    same here on ios, its definitely the watch. Sometimes it connects for a while but connection drops on iphone max. On iphone six never succeeded.

    Same issue with 945 and iphone (os13.3)... the two don’t recognise each other, let alone pair together... quite shabby for a $900 product!.. Helpdesk just keeps parroting the off the shelf FAQ and videos which are of zero help in this case

    plus the bloody light keeps coming on regardless of the button you press....can someone from Garmin answer this properly or just issue a new watch ?

    Same iisue here. Android. Only way do fix it is to delete and reconnect the watch but this loses all of the settings. Then after a couple of days have to do ut again. Latest in a long series of issues with this watch, do not buy.

  • Some more information would help us a lot in determining the cause of this for you. 

    • What model phone
    • What OS version on your phone
    • What version of GCM installed
    • SW Version installed on your 945
