It is possible to combine “training” and “navigation” in the same activity?

I don’t use Garmin Coach, but on the 935 I’ve used both programmed workouts and navigation for the same activity. If you’re in the Run activity (or whatever), you should be able to hold UP, select Navigation and choose a course.

Yes it is. Start the coach generated training workout then scroll through to the map screen and load your course.

Glad I searched the forum before asking my question!! You couldn't do this with a Fenix 3, glad it's now possible.

This can be done on a fenix 3 as well. At least with the Fenix 3HR. I did this all the time -> load a workout first, then go to options and load a course.

It works! The key was not to start the course, thanks a lot!
