Headphones powering down when i go to activities

Former Member

I can listen to music all day, but as soon as i hit the start button to select an activity the headphones will shut down.

They do not loose connection, they shut off as if i intentionally shut them down by long-pressing the power-button.

The headphones are "Jabra Elite Active".

Firmware of Forerunner 945 is 2.40.

Update: The activity screen will also kill the bluetooth connection between my smartphone and the headphones.

As long as i am on the activity-screen my headphones will constantly shut off and reconnect to my smartphone.

Completely removing the headphones from the watch does not help. The watch will still kill the bluetooh connection from phone to headphones.

Update 2: I put the watch into HR broadcasting and this again killed all connectivity to the headphones.

Therefore i have to conclude that these headphones are not properly dealing with "interference" (or whatever) from ANT+ signals.

Unfortunately this probably means there is no possibility to fix this.

greetings

Thanks Bruno. It was driving me crazy. Running 10k with no music was not fun!!

  • Press the lower button for 2-3 seconds, and scroll to settings (cog wheel).

In the next window, scroll down to "sensors" and follow the steps as described by BrunoZiegler (ie: delete the FP Jabra Elite)

You may also have to delete the Jabra Elite Active and reconnect.

    Hopefully that helps!

Can you please what did you mean by "When you go to activities FR945 will ask you to add "FP Jabra...". Just say no." n need to pair to Jabra headphone? Thanks!

For some reason my Garmin Vivoactive4 identifies the "jabra elite 65t" as a "footpod (FP)."

Here's what you need to do:

Go under "settings". Then to "Sensors". Remove FP Jabra

The next few times you go to start an activity, PAY CLOSE ATTENTION. It will ask you if you want to add FP Jabra... Press the X and say NO. It will now to connect to your jabra headphones and no more shutdown issues. Hope that helps. IT drove me nuts until I saw a post and reposted it to share as well.

Works perfect since. No looking back
