Apple AirPods work?

I know there's a separate thread on headsets, but I thought I'd ask a more specific question on AirPods. They don't seem to work well on other Garmins, but I'm hoping they work well with the 945. Would love any feedback on both the original AirPods as well as the AirPod 2.

Garmin, come on, fix this. You make great products but you need to solve issues faster. There is clearly a bug, why should the watch freeze and need a restart because it's not able to connect to a bluetooth…

I can use my AirPods Pro and AirPods Gen1 with the FR945 since day one. Never had any problems.

FR945 and AirPods Pro - no problems setting up and using. However from time to time the watch doesnt connect and the only fix for me is to remove the AirPods and pair again. I have learnt to have them setup 10 minutes before my run - the frustration can be huge when you are all set to go for a run and the connecting option spins and spins.
