Received 16.18 with Endurance, Hill Score, Map with Data Fields, Weather Map

This morning received Beta update 16.18 with some good stuff from Epic and 965. No Jet Lag :(

  • I'm also on the beta program. System > About says 16.18B where B is Beta.

I think you might have to reset your watch to default settings (without deleting activities), for it to work. Or you can try if removing it from the activities list and adding it back works.

  • Thanks - I tried removing and adding it again, but that didn't help. Honestly I really don't want to reset the watch - way too many config changes to have to make again, unless there is a way to backup those and restore?

  • Yeah, I don't think you are missing out on a big feature with the workouts app. You can access those workouts from the individual activities anyways.
Over the last 2 years I have had to reset my watch a few times due to glitches from software updates and beta updates.
Haven't found any way to backup and restore my data field configurations.

I had to take photos of all the data screens that I want to reconfigure, and manually reconfigure them.

Not to mention you also lose out on training readiness for 3 days and HRV status for 3 weeks when you reset the watch, so it is not worth it.

  • Thanks - yeah, I honestly didn't get the point of the workouts folder - thanks for confirming that I am not missing out on anything and also for confirmation on the pain it would be to reset. Cheers!

  • I think PacePro changed a little.

IIRC it always said "Overall Ahead" but showed Behind as a Negative number ( -0:09 ) . Now when behind the text changes to "Overall Behind" and the number is always Positive. So you have to carefully look at the small text not just the large number. I liked the old way where the minus sign indicated behind.

The distance bar Blue (done) / White (remaining) coloring remains the same and opposite the manual as described in the below post. I have no trouble understanding.

They audio call outs Ahead/Behind each lap were correct, as best as I can recall. There have been reports of them wrong.
