Garmin Express deleted almost all activities

Today, I did a Sync with a newly updated Garmin Express Version, and all activities except cycling activities got deleted from my watch.

This made my "Rolling 7 Day Running Distance" Widget useless and made me very uncomfortable that activities might just get deleted without any warning.

Has anyone else experienced this or has any idea how to disable this behavior?

I'm pretty sure this can't be intended, as cycling activities are all still there and the watch was never low on storage.

This issue was caused by Garmin Express version 7.18.0 and resolved by version 7.18.1.

same here. Connected to PC to charge and sync maps and now the activities folder is empty!
Any way to force download all activities to the watch? (Fenix 7s Solar)

This issue was caused by Garmin Express version 7.18.0 and resolved by version 7.18.1.

As far as getting those deleted files back on your watch, this is not necessarily needed and can even cause issues if you have excessive activities stored on your watch. If you feel the need, I would just download the latest week of activities.

Go to Garmin Connect Web
Open an activity that you want to move to your watch.
Select the gear icon, then "export original."
Unzip the file
With your watch connected to your computer browse to <YourDevice>\Internal Storage\GARMIN\NewFiles and paste each fit file

Rather laborious and not worth the effort, IMO. I would just wait for the files to build back up on the watch.
