945 LTE not recording lap swim

When I am attempting to do a lap swim my 945 LTE will not register any distances. I have to use the drill log to keep track of things. To answer questions ahead of time, I am swimming freestyle and yes I push off the wall. I've attempted pushing off the wall multiple times but I still get nothing. The watch works fine for tracking my running. I haven't used it for open water swimming. I did not create any new activity profile for swimming, I am just using the stock one that comes with the watch. The watch is updated with the latest firmware. I'd rather not go back to using my old 920xt, it works perfectly fine in the pool.

Any clue as to what is going on?

I realized the same issue yesterday. My previous FR245M didn´t had that problem and it was not necessary to push of the wall. I love the 945 LTE and hope, that it is caused by a software problem

If it is recording nothing for distance, it seems to be a known issue -

The only "fix" for now is to turn off the watch (and back on) prior to doing your lap swim.

I swim 2x a week and have only seen this show up twice (and generally never turn off/on my watch), so perhaps once you get yours working it will remain in that state for many swims?

Secondly, I think another user noted to NOT end your swim while on the Drill Log screen as it seemed to cause their device to exhibit this behavior on following swims.

Obviously not directed at you, but that's a bunch of crap. To pay this much for a watch only to be told you have to turn it off and on before you swim and not end on drills. I must have missed them touting those features in all of their promotional materials, lol

If this wont be fixed I will switch to my good old FR245M anyway.

It would be nice to leverage this into getting the 955 if they are actually are about to be released.
