I'm hoping to see all the new features come to the 945LTE as it has the Elevate 4 sensor and I imagine similar or same processor.

A lot of the features listed above are already on the 945LTE being health snapshot and HIIT 2.0. I don’t care about a lot of the profiles.
the only features I really want to come over are the stamina…

"Ok, got back some clarity on Stamina and phone based config and whether they’ll come to the 945 LTE.
Garmin says that they’re hoping to add both Stamina and phone-config…
I have a sneaky feeling they'll be saved for a 955 IMHO
There’s already a limited portion of on phone setup. After the last update I added a new sensor and when I scrolled down to the name a message popped up on the watch telling me I could enter it on my phone.
i too hope they can fix some of these outstanding bugs. i bought my 945LTE with an advertised feature set. while i would welcome added things from the Fenx7/Epix2, i'm more interested in them resolving the bugs and glitches in the current FW.
The more I am thinking about these updates coming I am reminded by sites like DCR and 5kRunner that Garmin is very siloed with Sports Watches being FR and Venu and then the Outdoor team with Fenix (Epix) and Instincts. I think we won't see any updates to the 945LTE until the release of the updated 955 and other x55 watches, which rumour has will be in a couple months.

Garmin says that they’re hoping to add both Stamina and phone-config to the FR945LTE in a firmware update. The current plan, assuming no unexpected technical issues, puts the release of those features in the Q2-Q3 range. As one might expect, the logistics of the phone data field configuration are pretty substantial and thus plans may shift or not work out at all – but that’s the plan for now."
The notion that the 945LTE will be getting any updates Q2-Q3 makes me even feel a little better.
My fear here was that the 955 would launch within that timeframe and the 945LTE quickly get forgotten.
Time will tell.
This is great to hear! Glad to see garmin is moving in the right direction here!
This is confirming my earlier point that the Outdoor and sport divisions are separate and likely this will be rolled out when the FR platform is updated. Seeing stamina and phone is good and I am guessing the Power from the wrist feature will be the big 955 feature that likely won't make it to the 945LTE.
955 will not get anything that F7 doesn't have if going by history.
So... They have to pull LTE off the 955 even though the 945 has it, since the F7 doesn't have it? I don't think Garmin looks to knock down ideas for a new model on the basis of "historically" not doing it before on another model. Garmin will put any feature it can in a watch in hopes for a sale. I think we are seeing a more distinct split with Forerunner(Pro & semi-pro training/Racing) and Fenix( Weekend warriors, Adventure life style).
