buttons: tactical feedback weird...

so, i know this is pretty subjective, but what are people's general opinion of the buttons on the 945LTE?

my unit arrived today, and I'm finding them a bit meh. and nothing like i've experienced on my 935. the best way i can describe the buttons on the 945LTE as a bit "rattle-y" when i push move them, they give me feedback and work but it feels like they don't have a single click. it's almost like a semi-stick clickety-click feel.ie, there are multiple levels of "feedback/contact."

in comparison, when my 935 is performing at it's best, it gives a satisfying single click. when its at its worst, its a mushy push which doesn't offer any feedback.yet, it always works fine.

i'd love to hear if others are encountering this or there is a lot of unit to unit variability.

Yup, I have the 'half-click' on all my buttons except the light button, so it's probably just crappy buttons. All the buttons on my 945 LTE just feel cheap and crappy, and not what I'd expect on a 650 dollar watch.

Agreed. Both initial and replacement 945 LTE devices have same button click experience. I have to press deep twice in order to make it work. As a workaround, I have enabled button press sound and vibrate so that I know I clicked the button.

For sure, with two 945 LTE devices, I am seeing this behavior. Poor quality. I am about to reach out to support tomorrow.

I have the same. I'm afraid they won't be able to fix it with software update ;).

I have the same issue on the bottom button. I sent it back to Garmin and now it's perfect. It seems like it's a common issue for the button to feel extremely stuck like snapping on a button. I needed to double press often to register a click.

That they will not. The whole watch feels pretty cheap though, and it’s not as if some better buttons would improve that. I’m ok with how they are, they work fine after all.

I am experiencing the same. This seems to be specific production batch issue rather than cheap. The watch is sturdy but can't compare with Fenix series in anyway.
