I am also frustrated. I never expected Garmin to be disrespectful to customers. And clearly it's a software issue, however they are only focusing on new devices. Yesterday they already released the Forerunner 965, that is, the 745 should already be forgotten and its owners.
It's happened twice to me in the last 2 weeks. It has been happening regularly ever since I bought the FR745, despite buying it over the FR245 because of the more advanced altimeter.
This is really irritating, and is making me wonder whether my next watch will be a Garmin (despite having only used Garmin devices since 2008).
