Hi,
I have a Venu 3 and contemplating upgrading to Forerunner 570. I am not a runner (as yet and may not be one in the near future) and the main reason for the upgrade therefore is not the running performance metrics that the 570 offers. (My Venu 3 will go to my wife, so don’t mind even if it’s an incremental upgrade). But I want the Training Effect/Status, Training Load and Training Readiness (especially) indicators that the 570 provides and Venu 3 doesn’t. I want to know if:
a) These indicators are useful to someone who isn’t into running, but is walking and hiking as well as strength training, yoga etc. Will they help me plan my activities and balance with my rest better? Currently I try doing that with Body Battery in the Venu 3, but it doesn’t adequately help me in the same.
b) Would Training Effect, Load, Status, Readiness indicators start populating even if I don’t run, but just walk and do the above mentioned activities? Or, like VO2 max, it needs you to necessarily run to estimate?
Thanks in advance for your replies. Kindly do not suggest any other watch models. I respect your intention, but there are reasons for me not to go for 165/255/265 et al that are besides the focus of this post. Replies specific to the query would be of great help.
