Garmin coach plan does not suggest full gym workouts

As the new 22.22 update was installed I enabled Strength training in my already existing garmin cycling coach plan with full gym access.

The plan only suggests some bodyweight workouts. I assumed if you have full gym access you will not get bodyweight excercise suggestions.

Support thinks the plan is adaptive and will change and no chance of them admitting this is a bug...

  • The same thing happens to me. Cycling Coach plans don't show any supplemental strength plans, and support ignored me after they didn't understand what I meant and requested that I record a video to show them. It seems they didn't get it quite right to communicate the necessary product knowledge when they launched this update. I don't think I need to share a video to show them what multiple users are already reporting, which should be already a known issue.

  • Same for me, but with a running plan. I selected full gym but I’m only getting bodyweight workouts.

  • I can confirm that support was right. I was getting only bodyweight exercises in the first week of my training plan. I can now see gym exercises.

Just wait and you will also get them.

  • Interesting approach, I would argue that it is like that on purpose. Nevertheless as my plan ends this week I will try in the next cycle with a new plan.

  • I'm seeing this too. I started at 13-week Garmin Run Coach with Strength Training (full gym access), and no race just "Fitness" as a goal.

    I'm see two problems.

    1. Like reported during this first and starting the second week I'm only being given bodyweight routines....but I will wait another week or so and see if it magically starts adding in other gym-type strength training workouts.
    2. The strength workouts are a bit broken. I can see on the Coach Widget that there is a strength training in the future, but it isn't populated with any thing.  On the web 'calendar" there are strength routines that have popped up and then disappeared.  I had a whole string of hard runs (during week 1 and now 2) with no strength so I was messing around with this plans settings, and I toggled it to 'body weight' only and saved and the whole weeks plan radically shifted to a few strength and dropped about three runs.  I edited again and went back to "full Gym" and saved it. Now it's more understandable with a full body workout and a few reasonable runs for this week.

I believe it might calm down after a week or two of seeing my stats and capacity (I've only been using this new FR265 for a couple of weeks), but so far this first week the "strength" part of the Garmin Run Coach, and even the run selections in this plan seem a bit off the mark.

  • On Week three all strength training suggestions disappeared from the Web and the App.

On my watch I can use glances to go to  "Garmin Coach" and I click that it shows tomorrow with a weightlifter icon.  But I click tomorrow's weightlifter icon and new page shows up and it's blank.

Strength has disappeared for the most part after the first two weeks.

  • Strength activities do not show up when my plan -> Preferences -> Strength Training Type = Full Gym and Bodyweight.

I just edited to ""Bodyweight Only" and my calendar populated with a bunch of bodyweight only strength workouts.
