Forerunner 265 - crash after start running activity

After start runnig activity display training instructions and crash to blue triangle... Restart not help.

All,

We are aware of the disruption of devices displaying a blue triangle when starting a GPS activity. Holding the power button until the unit powers off may or may not restore functionality temporarily…

I played around with the buttons while on hold with Garmin… and I managed to get it to reboot and then I shut it back to factory settings. I figured all of my activity would be gone but it backed ! I literally didn’t know what I was pushing on my watch good luck

I could do the factory reset after the watch crashed a second time.

When will it be safe to start a GPS activity? What are the steps that have to be done before? I don't want to do a third reset!

Carmen, I did the factory reset but when garmin connect suggested the backup download, ive refused. After that I had to reconfigure some preferences manually, but it worked.

I used the backup again after the second crash. Okay, watchface and datafield had to be installed again. The I took my trusty FR245 that I charged before and went to my running group. There was a guy with a Fenix 8 that worked fine during the run. When I was back I plugged the FR265 to my PC, that file was still not there. So I don't know what caused the second crash. I unplugged the watch, restarted it and plugged it to the PC again. Did a sync with Garmin Express. Then I took the watch to the window, started a GPS activity until GPS fix, no problems. I hope that it is solved.

After I did a factory reset I have no problems anymore with starting a GPS activity. I used my backup with no further problems.

oh my how can I avoid this crash ? Good thing I didn't start any activity yet.

Just reboot and sync garmin connect ?

Same issue with my FR256. Fortunately I was able to quickly charge my old FR935 before running this afternoon.

I have the same issue. Tried a factory reset, and now it won't connect to my phone anymore.
