After start runnig activity display training instructions and crash to blue triangle... Restart not help.
All,
We are aware of the disruption of devices displaying a blue triangle when starting a GPS activity. Holding the power button until the unit powers off may or may not restore functionality temporarily…
All,
Thank you very much for your patience as we worked on this issue. Please see the steps from My Garmin Device Will Not Boot Past the Start Up Screen for a resolution. If you already performed the steps…
Hi, having the same issue on 265s. Updated to 21.22.
Only started today
exactly the same with my FR 265 21.22
had to do an hard reset too
Same problem here on FR265 when trying to start a GPS activity. FW on 21.22
Hoping a fix is distributed soon!
Mine is doing the same thing...went to start a run and the endless blue triangle. I am unable to do anything with the watch; can't even get to reset options.
I have the same thing on my FR265, not on beta. Keeps crashing with blue triangle. Factory reset is only solution. Restart doesn't work.
Please Garmin, fix this soon, seems global issue...
Started to happen to me as well, 21.22 , started a walk went into boot loop.
Only way is a hard reset, but after restoring the backup it does it again.
Any workaround?
Customer support told me to wait for a fix on their end, which I believe it's unacepptable for a £400 watch that is now a brick on my wrist...
Same. Happened this morning after staring at run. Seems to possibly be connected, or at least coincide, with acquiring GPS.
Had to factory reset. Not as painful as I thought, as the watch presented an option to download a backup.
me too, on forerunner 165 when try running activity
Same with my FR 165 Music.
Problem happens when starting run activity with GPS active. Setting GPS = off, problem does not happen (but obviously defeats purpose).
Garmin Forerunner 265 watch is the most frustating piece of tech I ever bought.
Despite being a premium product, it has become completely non-functional after repeated problems. Below is a summary of the issues I encountered:
1. The watch froze immediately after selecting an activity.
2. It then rebooted itself but never fully restarted, becoming stuck on the blinking triangle screen.
3. I attempted a factory reset, but the same issue occurred again following a software update.
This experience has been extremely disappointing, as I purchased the Forerunner 265 expecting reliability and quality. However, these repeated malfunctions have rendered the device completely unusable.
I have already taken the necessary troubleshooting steps on my end (such as factory resetting the device), but the problem persists. I am now left with a device that does not work, despite my efforts to resolve the issue.
Given the circumstances, I am requesting a full refund for this defective product. This experience has significantly damaged my confidence in Garmin’s products, and I believe this situation needs to be addressed promptly and fairly.
