How to make a backup

I hooked my fr 265 to my Mac. It is recognized by Garmin express when it is plugged in but to make backup I need it to appear in the finder of the Mac. When I plug the fr 265 I thgionk it showed show up in the finder but it isn't.

Can I make a backup on the fr 265 or do I need a higher end Garmin?

If you use a Mac you need to use Android File Manager (App in Mac App Store) to see the drive

Just for clarity , you cannot do a backup and restore with a Forerunner , unlike (for example) Fenix/Epix.

But you can backup the drive and some settings as noted in the link.

There is new beta firmware with ability to backup and restore like Fenix/Epix. It's a matter of time till it will become standard feature.
