Issue with measuring heart rate for cross country skiing

Still same issue as kra28 wrote about 1 year ago.
when I do cross country skiing, the heart rate is very low. If i change to running it is correct.
Same issue if use the hrm band or just the wrist band.
is this something you would need to live with?
if this is the case, 255 can not be used for cross country skiing.

  • I also have a Garmin 255 which has worked very well. I notice for cross country skiing the heart rate seems more accurate with the wrist sensor compared to the arm band based on my perceived exertion. I have used this watch for numerous nordic ski races and in training but may just go back to using the wrist sensor when skiing. During a run the armband seems to perform well most but not all of the time.
