XC Skate Ski missing

I bought 255 just few months, no Skate ski support is a huge surprise for me. What is the latest firmware version where is was still available?

255 doesn't have XC Skate Ski at all. This is only supported by the higher-end models. But don't worry, the higher-end models require HRM-Pro for skating dynamics, so you'll just get the word "Skate" in the workout title if you don't have this sensor.
