Connection lost message during activity

Hi, after the last firmware update (25.04) during my running activity, the display shown randomly a message like "connection with the telephone lost" and after you can choose to push the button start/stop (mark with green flag) or the left bottom button (mark with red).

If I push the "red mark" the display shown strange road map....??? and no other button works. After a while with automatic autolap the display works as previous.

If I push the "green mark" nothing change. After a while with automatic autolap the display works as previous.

If I do nothing after the automatic lap the display shown the normal datas.

What happen???

  • Is it this?

As per the support article, it's a lost phone alert. It's only supposed to be triggered if the watch thinks you took your phone with you at the beginning of an activity, then you later lost the connection with the phone. (It's not supposed to be triggered if you just leave your phone at home)

    How It Works

While recording a GPS activity the watch will alert you if you have been disconnected from your phone for a period of time if the following requirements have been met.

    • Your phone must have been connected through the Garmin ConnectTm app at the beginning of the activity.

    • The activity timer must have been running for at least 2 minutes.

    • You must be at least 100 meters away from your start point.

Sounds like what you're seeing might be a bug. If you see it regularly (or you're able to reproduce it at will), you could contact product support: https://support.garmin.com/ or [email protected]
