No more audio prompts in Forerunner 255 and 55 after firmware update in September 2025

Suddenly, the audio prompts stopped working on September 15, 2025. I only hear the audio prompts when the Garmin Connect app is visible on my phone's screen. Additionally, I only hear the prompts in a strange language: Polish English—it sounds like English, but with a Polish accent. I tried reinstalling the software, trying a different phone, removing and adding the watch—to no avail.

Experiencing exactly the same problem here (255) - I've tried all sorts of "fixes" but nothing seems to work - come on Garmin, the audio prompts are really helpful for me please fix this!

I have no more prompts on my 255-Music since v.25.04

I still have audio prompts, but there is a long delay between the beep/display on the watch and the prompt. About 5 to 10 seconds. Before the update there was almost no delay.

The watch is connected to the Garmin Connect app, and the headphones are connected to the smartphone.

This might be caused by the latest update of the Garmin Connect app (v 5.17):

There was another update today to v 5.17.2, maybe this solves the problem.

It is solved after last update. I don't know the number of update, but works. :)

After the update it works for a brief moment, then gets stuck again, with the app showing a "audio promo in progress" message. After a force close and sync it starts again.
