Really low score on interval run and don’t understand why

I just went for an interval run scheduled in my coach plan and got a really low score of 8% and I do not understand why. I thought I executed the training pretty well and was really surprised when I got a score of 8%! This is not the first time, it seems every time I do intervals I have a bad score, what am I doing wrong?

The plan was this: 15 min warm-up @ 6:00, 9x0:40@3:45 and finally 10 min cool-down @ 6:00. I did about just that. Could other parameter such as heart rate or load impact the result? I am pushing too hard?

Any insight would be appreciated.

  • You should (over)reach a given pace (3:45) and hold it for a 40" every interval. You didn't.  See stats on a tab "Intervals". Next time do it a little bit harder ;)

  • It's sometimes hard to get the pace right with short intervals, because the watch needs time to update your current pace.
I think current pace updates quicker if you have the most accurate GPS setting enabled (this information is not verified, it might just be wishful thinking), which could help.
