Missing Step & Health Data for July 26 – Streak Broken Due to Sync Issue

Hi Garmin team and community,

I’m reaching out because my Garmin device recorded activity on July 26, 2025, but the data never synced to Garmin Connect. As a result, my long step streak (almost 1000 days) has been broken, and other metrics that are incomplete: sleep, body battery, and other health metrics for that day.

Here’s what happened:

  • My watch (which had power and was worn all day) shows July 26 activity data.

  • When I connected to the app, all other days synced normally, but only some data appears for July 26.

  • Tried syncing via both the Garmin Connect app and Garmin Express — still no result.

What I’ve tried:

  • Restarted phone and watch

  • Forced sync multiple times

I’d really appreciate if:

  • Someone from Garmin can help retrieve the missing data (if cached internally)

  • Or help restore the step streak manually, since this was clearly a device sync issue beyond my control

Thank you for your time and support — I’ve worked hard to maintain this streak and would love a way to recover or patch this issue.

Check the pictures: You see that the data on the watch is correct (the day is green, which means the goal has been achieved), and the data in the app is wrong.

  • Just a side note (or mental health tip):
I am very easily addicted to streaks, and I have had quite a few streaks of different types. I have learned that the longer it goes, the more important it feels to keep the streak going. Sooner or later the streak controls you, and not the other way around. Always plan how long you want the streak to run, and make sure to break the streak when you have reached your goal.

If you plan really long streaks, record them in your own backed up records, as smart watch technology is not fail safe enough to be trusted for these things. From time to time there are technical hickups.
