Why is Google map navigation not available FR255

because garmin is greedy

I guess because it's too old when looking at other supported devices: apps.garmin.com/.../f140ff7f-d19e-49f1-b851-01c7e0009d6c

It is unfortunate the watch lacks a few handy features: e.g. Training Readiness, Google Navigation support. 

What does being fit for training have to do with navigation?

None, only in the answer you were told that 255 is not supported by the Google Map application - which is absolutely true. You can contact the developer of the application "Google LLC" and ask him the question directly. To paraphrase you - what relation do the users of FR255 (this forum) have to the development of the Google Map application by the developer Google LLC?

It's probably a coincidence that it's only available on the latest models and "poor" Garmin has nothing to do with it. Moreover, these pifateless customers don't want to change to a new model every year. Where has this world gone?

Or maybe it's simpler and the screen resolution of 255 is too low? And the global conspiracy has nothing to do with it?

Yes, the FR255 260x260 resolution is too small for arrows, but the FR265s 218x218 resolution is fine...

Yeah, it seems pretty arbitrary that it supports the FR955 and not FR255.

As far as I know, the two devices listed the same kinds of CIQ app memory capacity, last time I saw the spec details.
