Forerunner 55 multiple updates per hour/day

This is me too! Mine is 3 days old. I logged a ticket with garmin support, it seems I’ve been added to a group ticket and was told there is no timeframe as to when this will get solved. It’s so frustrating, I thought they’d tell me steps to fix the issue but no. All the suggestions online don’t work for us as storage is not the problem. 
I will look to get a full refund I think, it is intolerable.

Yeah, I’ve emailed them and I had gotten a email  back which said the same as what I’ve read online which was to restart it and clear the files. The restart didn’t work and I don’t have access to a computer to clear the files but I doubt that would have done anything. It’s a shame coz I was looking forward to using the watch and heard good things about Garmin in general but it’s put me off a bit. I’ve emailed them back as said I’d be looking at returning it if it doesn't get solved by the end of the week, I did purchase it from Argos though but I’m sure if it’s classed as faulty they would accept the return. 

Yes agreed, clearing files on a brand new watch won't get us anywhere either. Garmin have said they would refund if I bought direct from them, so I will attach that email to my refund request. I bought from John Lewis. It is a real shame, I wonder if we have a dodgy batch or if it's a wider software problem.
