after update to 23.20 I can't connect to Wi-Fi to download music

After the update to 23.20 all my downloaded Spotify music was gone. I had to log in again in Spotify using connect but then my watch can't connect to wifi to download my playlists. It just says "can't connect to network" I tried removing the Wi-Fi and auditing manually using the watch or connect on my phone, but nothing works. This is unacceptable, listening to music is one of the core functions on my watch, which is why I bought the music edition and now that functionality is bugged. Please fix it ASAP!

  • I also had to log in to Spotify again while having the watch connected to the phone app. After that, the Wifi sync is working, also without being connected to the phone.

Is your Wifi working for regular watch sync?

  • same here. after the update to 23.20, my wifi no longer connects at all on my forerunner 255 music. i can still see the wifi networks and it will fail quicker with the wrong password (so i can tell it's trying to do something with the correct network and password), but trying to connect always fails for whatever app, wifi sync, software version check, etc. you try to use it with. how do i fix this?!

  • Check that the networks are 2.4 GHz, and not 5GHz.

  • I have the same problem. After the 23.20 update the playlists all disappeared and cannot get anything except workouts that are supposedly made for me but not what I use. Hoping there is a patch soon

  • The only thing I have noticed on my 255 Music is it doesn't seem to automatically recognise naps taken during the daytime (outside of typical sleep hours) - it used to flawlessly!
Come on Garmin - get it sorted.
Next time I won't be updating it once it is resolved however.
I updated from 20.29 and that had no issues at all ever for me, so I will NOT be updating ever again after this! Rage

  • Nap detection seems to be a bit less reliable on 23.20 for me. Check in the Body Battery data, it was probably detected as rest instead of a nap. I've had the opposite as well - rest being detected a nap. Sometimes it still works, but I'm not as confident that it will detect it correctly as it did with the older firmware.
