BUG: Can't start playing media unless phone unlocked

Not sure exactly when this started, so unfortunately I can't pin it down to a specific phone or watch software update, but it's within the last six weeks or so.

I can no longer start playing media on my Pixel 7a phone (Android 15) from my 255 (v. 22.22) once the phone has been locked for a few seconds. Once the media is playing, I can pause it if the phone is locked, and I can restart it immediately, but not if I wait another few seconds. I'm seeing this behaviour with all media players (Spotify, PocketCasts, Rocket Player, etc.), and it had always worked fine before.

Anyone else?

    I have nearly the same issue that started around the same time. I have a Pixel 7a and a Forerunner 255s. I can fast-forward, rewind, pause but can only play within ~5 seconds of pausing; after that play has no effect (even when the phone is unlocked). I'm on 22.24 but I've installed at least 1 watch update since the issue started. I typically use AntennaPod. I don't see the issue with Musicolet.

    Interesting, thanks. Have noticed that double-pressing the watch button sometimes makes Play work now too, but not always.
