Garmin Coach Training effect improvement

Today's target DSW  training effect Aerobic / Anaerobic was 30/30. Completing a DSW my actual Aerobic / Anaerobic 3.6/ 20 with and execution score 95%  time and speed. I'm constantly low on the anaerobic number. What can I do to improve and increase the anaerobic number?

  • Anaerobic requires "bursty" activity and HR changes.  The wrist based HRM is really poor are responding to these in time.  Ultimately a chest strap helps.

  • I get plenty of anaerobic exercise based on wrist heart rate, mostly from quite relaxed sessions with some bursts of activity like using the SkiErg equipment.
