Why no step count during stepper activity?

Instead of adding new features/activities,

I'm waiting for step count during my stepper activity...for 3 years

why?

I guess that you have your hands on some bars during stepping. So the steps can't be counted.

You guess right but a least i could enter number of steps or mean number of step by minutes at the hand of the activity .

At the end of indoor running, garmin watch ask for calibration. You can imagine something similar .. it 's sad that you can only monitor Heart Rate. I have to maintain a file on my smartphone to assess my progress
