All,
We are aware of the disruption of devices displaying a blue triangle when starting a GPS activity. Holding the power button until the unit powers off may or may not restore functionality temporarily…
All,
Thank you very much for your patience as we worked on this issue. Please see the steps from My Garmin Device Will Not Boot Past the Start Up Screen for a resolution. If you already performed the steps…
Although appreciated, it's completely absurd the only guidance we have are some other users suggesting button combinations to get these devices to power back on but not resolve this issue. Where is…
Yep, bricked Forerunner 255. I started a walk and flashing triangle. A soft reset does nothing.
I'm not using beta firmware; had an update about a week ago.
Additionally the Connect app on my phone…
I still can't get mine out of the boot loop using those instructions. Not sure what else to do.
Hello, since today my 255 starts bugging with a blinding blue triangle. I test to restart but nothing to do
mine too - there's another thread that Garmin have reported that they are investigating
Forerunner 255 crashes - Forerunner 255 Series - Running/Multisport - Garmin Forums
Same here. Tried to reboot after a swim and morning but blue flashing triangle.
Mine too - 255 Music. Any idea for timeframe investigation? BTW Living in Cyprus...............

Where is the transparency Garmin? It's now 11am EST and not a peep other than generic messages in this thread and others. I was out the door at 5am EST when my FR255 bricked itself due to this issue. Your community of users shouldn't be your QA department. WTF is going on over there?
My watched crashed at 7am UK time, 9 hours ago and so far nada from Garmin - very disappointing
no (I'm in the UK) - there's a red banner on the Garmin Support homepage suggesting not just 255 models affected now - normally only a few hours if history is anything to go by
Seems like they don't do enough testing before releasing ... hmm. If not resolved soon, will be difficult to recommend this brand. This is not ok.
Very first run ever with it and it crashed with the triangle. Some one on line said you can contact Garmin and they charge you 280 for a refurbished one and then hold yours as collateral then refund you 160 so you are still paying 120 for a refurbished one. Again literally first run ever with it and it crashed. Was hopefully because my daughter loved hers so much but now disappointed and I'm sure out of money on it.
