PacePro Plan and Course Navigation simultaneously

Hello!

Yesterday I've tried PacePro during a guided course navigation (FW 21.20).

After having the course and the pace strategy defined and synchronized, I've placed myself on the beginning of the course and then I've launched Run, held Up, Training, PacePro Plans, selected the intended plan, hited Start, confirmed Use Plan, and enabled course navigation. A few seconds later GPS locked and I've pushed Start and imitated the activity.

The PacePro screen popped out, as expected (?), but the navigation instructions / directions didn't...

I could perceive the beeps and vibrations altering some direction change, but to get more than that I had to use the buttons to switch screen from PacePro to Navigation and vice versa.

Is this the expected behavior? Did I miss anything on the launching process?

What I was expecting would be the PacePro and Navigation switching automatically when a direction change would be necessary, but not having this manual process...

Thank you in advance for your comments and clarifications.

Happy New Year to all Champagne glass

  • Hi. I often use PacePro and Navigation simultaneously and I believe you need to switch between screens manually, there's no automatic switch. However, you can turn the prompts on, in Navigation -> Alerts -> Turn Prompts. This will alert you with an arrow on the bottom of the screen (and some beep sound) as you approach your next turn.

  • Hi!

I've created a test course and PacePro Plan for a path in the neighborhood, and it checks. The arrow on the bottom area pops out on directions changing. More than that, only manually switching screens... Far from ideal, but, it is what it is...

For sure a better integration could be achieved. As the arrow was merged with PacePro default screen, also two data fields, target and current pace, could be added to the navigation screen.

I'll try to submit the suggestion.
