calorie count after software upgrade

I'm just back from a 5.5 mile walk and was checking my calories. I used about 110 resting calories and around 113 active calories. Well, I walked with an average speed of 4.2 ml/h which is slower than usually. Typically I'm around 4.8-5.0 ml/hour. Something is wrong there. Before the software upgrade I had ~650 calories for 5.6 ml walk, but slightly faster. Firmware version 21.19.

  • Check your body parameters in settings - weight, height, age, gender, and the 7 days Average Resting HR, and the Max HR.

The higher above the RHR and the closer to the MaxHR, the more Active Calories are burned during an activity.

  • The body parameters are the same before and after the upgrade. I cannot be in such a good shape (my PCP would be very happy - or not) that I burned only 113 active calories on a 5 ml walk. It should have been more like 400.

  • As already wrote, the only thing that matters (besides your body parameters) is the HR during the activity and its relation to the 7 days avg Resting HR and the Max HR. If you post links to both activities (the recent and the older one), we can perhaps see whether there is something wrong or not. Also please post the values of the Resting HR for given days (you can find them on the HR screen - when you swipe to the past date, the screens show both the 7-days avg, and the current value of the Resting HR for given day)
