What other brand watch besides Apple will not keep recording your walk or hike traveling at automobile speeds?

I asked earlier about adding a speed threshold while recording activities and got no where.  I'm done with Garmin.  Why it'll record my hike or walk going 65 miles an hour is just plain stupid.

When I get back to my car I'm often having to field calls or texts.  I forget to stop the watch.  Like 3 times a week.  I need a watch that's will stop recording at some rational speed related to the activity. Like 10 or 15 mph for walking or hiking.  It's not rocket science

Not an apple user (my wife's iwatch does stop on its own) so looking for alternatives?

  • If you keep forgetting to end exercise mode, I think it's your own problem

  • That is so amazingly helpful!  Wow! Thanks!

A hike or walk isn't what I'd call an exercise session.  It can last hours.  It's nice to have a record but I'm focused on other things, not my watch.

I wonder about any one that thinks being able to set a stop speed threshold is a bad idea.  Wtf would you be against that option?

  • I would certainly leave such an option disabled to not risk stopping an activity because of a speed glitch.
You can suggest features to Garmin (not this user forum), but I have a feeling that this feature would not get many votes, as it is a solution to å problem most people don't have. But you never know, maybe Garmin will do it anyway, since it is easy to implement?

  • if the button on your watch is too much for you... it's as if you forgot to wipe the bank after defecation, or because of the toilet paper manufacturer's fault?
  • It's really difficult to decide if your an ass bowl or just a moron....probably both is the correct answer
