OHRS madness after training, Part 26

I was returned from a base run, the average pulse 135, went into the house, I look at my pulse - again, as usual - too high - I measure it in a manually in 10 seconds - about 90, I switch on the old VA3, they shows all correct. FR255 shows 30 beats higher than it is.
Dear Garmin, when do you fix it?

  • did you tried a reset to defaults? my unit do rare things after updating to 20.26 and i needed to do 2 full reset and delete and a reset to default after that the watchs seems stable

  • I'm on 19.18 now and I regret that I participated in the beta and made updates after 16.xx. The *** with the OHR arose after Garmin introduced parallel operation for the external and internal heart rate sensor.

I have not yet seen a single example where a Reset or two helped in case of incorrect operation of the heart rate monitor.

Each subsequent update brings more new errors than fixes. Fundamental errors for sports watches (with heart rate or pace) are either ignored for years or are not a priority in pursuit of some additional functions, such as a watch backup that cannot be restored on new ones, etc.

  • Im explaining to you whats worked with me, but youre free to do or not to
