That doesn't seem so good to me. Of course, it also depends on your settings. Here, Garmin says that in basic mode, the watch can last up to 14 days. Let it be only 13 days. That's a 7.69% daily dip. Let it be 8%. You lost 25% in 2 days. That is ~12% per day. In other words: this is one and a half times the consumption.
I don't see much point in the constant SpO2 measurement. It can only be measured in a state of rest anyway. It doesn't even manage to measure properly by hand, in a state of rest, and even if it does, it tends to under-measure.
With 20.26 and earlier versions, I would be lucky to get 3 days and that was without any activities.
Wow, that's serious! About then did your operating time drop by half? Have you tried 20.29 yet?
Dropping 23% over 2 days without any activities ...
I think it is. Check out my calculation above.
I just did a half ironman yesterday, it wasnt a great performance on my part. It took me 6 hours and 30 minutes and my battery dropped 45% in that time. Seems like it wouldn't last a full Ironman if I was to do one.
Do you use pulse-ox during your activity?
For comparison, back in July (on the stable 19.xx firmware) I used 50% of battery on a 10 hour hike in "Auto-Select" GPS mode. It was really 12 hours, but I paused with the "resume later" feature for about 2 hours of breaks. I had bluetooth disabled during the whole time, and never use pulse-ox.
No I don't use pulse ox during an activity. Only when sleeping
