sleep data is very inaccurate

I never woke up so many times! The record is very inaccurate, any ideas to improve that? Thanks!

  • Have a look at the study from Vera Birrer

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10948771/

In a summery we can say that the "tracker" accuracy fro fitness tracker/smartwatches is

    • for awake/ sleep 87 %
    • for awake/sleep/ deep sleep 69 %
    • for awake/sleep/ deep sleep/ REM 65%

It's a tendency, consider all the wire and HF and BP tracker in a sleep laboratory.
But it's a nice tool to check the tendency and in that case then also the length and sleep quality and that in my opinion is the key factor.
It's similar to body fat scales, here it's also a tendency, it's a scale and not a laboratory

  • My watch not even records as awake if I go in the night to toilette.

The developer implement a lot of unnecessary new features and the fundamental tracking features become worse and worse

  • I would also like Garmin to improve this and detect sleep apnea, come on with AI they can probably do reliable detection with all the data that goes through their servers from our devices
