Forerunner 255 randomly reboots

My Forerunner 255 Music randomly restarts itself throughout the day and I lose steps for example I lost last week's vitality goal streak due to this. It starts randomly for no reason ? I am running software version 17.28

Can any one suggest anything to solve this relatively new device not even a week old never had this problem with my 245

It looks like an old bug related to notifications (from Whatsapp). You should upgrade your firmware to the latest version (to enjoy different bugs ;-) ). But a least it should solve these random reboots…

How do I make it upgrade to the latest firmware if it doesn't give me the option ?

On the device you can go to Setting>System>Software Update> Check for updates

Have you tried connecting to Garmin Express in a computer also?
