Disable Audio Prompt for turn by turn!

Hi, Hiking in the mountains I enjoyed the complete silence and peace just to realise that my mobile constantly produced turn by turn navigational audio prompts which I don't want nor need. how can I turn them off but keep the navigation alerts on the watch (vibration) active?

I have an android.

It's a bug in the lasted firmware across all of FR965/955/265/255.

Actually Garmin seem to be currently classing it as a feature rather than a bug and are not planning on fixing it unless enough people…

Exactly , and it is a BUG. The way it is implement is nonsensical. I reported it in the beta cycle long ago.

They should have Navigation as a subset under the Audio Prompts section, if they want it as a feature.

Its not even consistent at the moment for example the "off course" notification work as it used to with no audio.
