HR zones not correct

Hello, take a look in the watch to verify that is the same, lately the app garmin connect has a bug about the data showed not correspond with the real data in the watch, for me has worked uninstalling and reinstalling the app

your lactate heart rate also is not real, normally lactate threshold is the 90% of the max heart rate bpm

Thank you. I checked the watch. Exactly the same. When I tried to uninstall the app, it says data will be lost. Should I still go ahead. Will the historical data be stored in the cloud

No clue what to do.  My MHR is 164 as per my age. so as per your calculation LTHR should be around 147-148. But the app and watch shows 158.  My fitness age shows 52. Does that make a difference in the calculation..

make a copy and syncro the device with the watch, all data will be saved in garmin servers, and you will can recover again

its a bug in the app, if you take a look in the watch, the parameters should be good, your age decrease as how are you training, its a estimation by garmin, so yes, if it sais you have 52 shape, the max heart rate should be higher, but dont take the 220 - minus age formula, take a chest strap and do a lactate threshold test to know your max heart rate, its a hard training so do it if you feel it, will be 12 minutes easy to max

But to do the lactate threshold test, you need to know the maximum heart rate first. 

I think a good way to estimate the maximum heart rate is to do some running intervals, typically 4x4 minutes. That will typically get you up to around 90 percent of the maximum heart rate. Use the highest registered heart rate during the intervals, add 10 percent, and you have a maximum heart rate estimate that is a lot better than a formula based on age.

There are also some workouts specifically to reach maximum heart rate, but they are too intensive for most people.

I don't think the fitness age is used for anything by Garmin.

• Thank you so much. Shall  do the test and see if it works.  It is peak summer here .  Will it affect the test. Should I do the test indoors . 

You can find the maximum heart rate indoors, but the lactate threshold must be done outdoors (GPS) with a heart rate chest strap.
