Even after 15-20 minutes of a moderately intensive workout. The HR tracker is consistently off by at least 30-40 plus BPM. I reported the issue to Garmin, which became much worse after the software update a few months ago, several times, including last week. Garmin admits they are aware of the problem, but has no idea when a software fix will be released. That is totally unacceptable. The watch was purchased for a specific purpose & now, through no fault of my own, the watch is useless. Despite Garmin”s best efforts to minimize or deny any liability, there should be some legal recourse available since the watch no longer works for its intended purpose & Garmin has failed to remedy the software defect within a reasonable period of time. I asked Garmin to send me a replacement watch, but they said i would experience the same problem with HR tracking because of the software. I asked for credit to buy a diff model watch that wasn’t affected by the recent update, but they refused. The did, however, offer to send me a HR chest strap free of charge. Thanks for the crumbs, Garmin. I have an I watch, which is mostly accurate, but the battery is crappy & the watch too cumbersome for every day use. I’m seriously considering switching to Coros & any recs would be appreciated.
