No golf on 255 music?

Just got the Forerunner 255 Music. Love it a ton so far but I feel like it's missing all Golf features. I'm coming from the Venu SQ which did have the golf app and tracked everything I needed. My question mostly relates to how the Venu SQ, a much less capable watch, had golf features while the 255 doesn't. Part of me thinks it's a way to push folks to the 945/955. I also don't think not having a touchscreen should limit the Golf app. 

Has anyone been able to add Golf features to the 255? Or are we stuck until Garmin ever decides to add them?

    That's Garmin's way of differentiating products. Golf is not listed as supported on 255's info pages, and I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to suddenly appear, since it's clearly been left out on purpose.

    It’s a shame, especially the music version has space so does the 265, garmins way of doing things

    Yeah, Garmin does this all the time - their cheaper "lifestyle" watch has some feature, but the much more expensive "running" watch doesn't.

    I can see how it can be infuriating bc sometimes buying the more expensive watch (in a different product range) causes you to lose features.

    Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this but still quite frustrating.

    I happen to have old phoenix 5x which I retired with the 255 as it was to large for daily but it works good just for golf would prefer the thinner.

    Fenix watches have always been more expensive than the equivalent Forerunner 2xx (at release), which only proves the point of this thread.

    Besides, as you pointed out, Fenix watches are also bigger and heavier than Forerunners. Personally I would never wear a Fenix to run (or for any other reason)
