Daily Suggested Workouts schedule empty since updated to 19.18 yesterday

i've been using the daily suggested workouts to prepare for a 10k. Yesterday morning my watch updated to the 19.18 software and the daily suggested workouts stopped working. When I click into run>training>workouts>daily suggestions>plan overview - the only thing that appears is the title of my race and the date of the race. The rest of the screen is blank where typically i see the week ahead with estimated workouts given. Similarly, I don't receive a suggested workout in my morning report or when I click to start a run. 

I have tried turning it on and off again, changing the race, turning daily suggested off and on, plugging it into my computer and deleting everything in the workout folder, starting a coaching plan and ending a coaching plan. 

  • sync the watch with garmin connect, and then remove the watch from garmin connect, then reset to defaults all data in the watch, its helped when my watch was doing rare things

  • Thanks Lewis - I did try this when the issue first started and it didn’t help, but I think support submitted a ticket for me. Hopefully, they can find a fix.

    We are aware and investigating. If you are experiencing this, please answer the following so I can add you to the report: 

    1. In which country are you located?
    2. May we have permission to reach you via email?
    3. May we, if necessary, have permission to view your Connect account?

    In the meantime, a current workaround is to check and uncheck all the long workout days to reset that preference list.
    Select your Run activity -> Training -> Workouts -> Daily Suggestions -> Settings -> Long Workout Day.
    Check two days and go back. Re-enter and check two more days. Continue this until you get through them all. Then, set the ones you wish to actually choose.

    I don’t quite understand your workaround - I did the process however because I’m not getting any daily suggestions and can’t view a suggestion schedule, resetting or changing my long workout day didn’t lead to me getting any suggestions.

    I followed the proposed steps to reset the Long Workout Days, it didn't help though.

    i am not receiving daily workout suggestion wether or not a training plan is loaded.

    Suggested workout widget on my Fenix 7 Pro SS won't open since today. Yesterday it worked fine. Did not change settings.

  • Is this problem perhaps related to the latest software update for my Edge 840?

  • i have a similar problem, but it seems more that the whole DWS stops working after some random time. i am on epix pro 17.23 and when i see in the morning there is no new DSW i immediately know it crashed again. when i try to open the calendar it crashes and goes straight to home screen as soon as i scroll to the DSW.

    what helps is then to restart the watch and then the DSW is there along with a working calendar and everything. still very weird and strange for a 800€ watch :/
