I liked the persistent vibration. It meant I never missed a phone call. I presume there is no option to keep a function that existed since I bought the watch 2 years ago.

We are tracking the feedback from this change. If anyone preferred the continual vibrations for phone calls, please comment below with permission for me to add you to our report!
All,
This has been addressed on sw version 20.26 which is currently at 20%. Thank you very much for your feedback!
All,
I am very sorry to those who are disappointed with how we addressed this concern. The number of vibrations has been extended, but unfortunately we cannot please everyone's desire on how long the vibrations…
Dear Sierra!
I think the best solution would be for everyone to be able to choose whether they prefer a short vibration or a continuous vibration.
Edit:
@Garmin-Sierra Is it not possible to post a vote…
Garmin Guys??? I’m a garmin lover for decades, but it looks like you try to kill your business… Such changes pushing me to another brands… Fix it ASAP please
and shortcuts - any news…
I prefer the continuous vibrations for calls.
not even the GPS can be propagated under water... Yet the open water swimming function exists.
Bluetooth is not GPS, it establishes a bidirectional connection, which requires overhead (time, battery, processor). This is different from simply receiving a signal from a pre-selected satellite. Then think for yourself whether they are worth twitching when the connection is lost/restored while swimming or not.
it was like that previously, so I don't think we should worry about performance.
This is not a matter of thought, but of competent engineering calculation; in my opinion, productivity should always be taken care of.
When I am swimming, I do not ecpect phine calls, but when I am cycling or hikking, yes I want notification
I was only talking about water.
Please add me to report.
There are have been lots of requests on the forums for continuous vibration for calls. In the following posts has links to a lot of other related threads https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/outdoor-recreation/f/fenix-7-series/319809/vibration-duration-for-call-notifications
In the last month I came across a post on Reddit asking from a prospective buyer, if the 255 had continuous vibration for calls.
Hopefully at least the option can return. Thanks
I also preferred the continual vibrations. Add me to your report, please.
Preferred the old way, and take this new lock screen vibration away too.
The new way is in no way intense enough. The old made way more sense.
I prefer the continuous vibrations for calls.
