Broken altimeter (F255 no music)

It happened again....

The altimeter completely wrong, showing unrealistic numbers (-4000m.... +6000m....) with continuous fluctuations. Garmin customer service replaced my watch under warranty six months ago, sending me a completely new one. Now, we're back to square one.

I use it for running and swimming three times a week (it's designed for swimming too, right?). Now I expect another replacement, but how long will it last? The warranty ends in October. Has anyone had similar experiences?
