Gaps in body battery, sleep, hr data

I’ve had my 255 for a week, upgraded from 245. I’ve noticed big gaps in body battery, hr and sleep data in the connect app. On the  watch the body battery and hr data is there, but sleep also has big gaps. Last night I slept from around 11:30 to 6:30 without waking but watch states I only had 3 hours and didn’t sleep until 2:30 with a big gap around 5am

  • My 245 had similar gaps, so does my 255.  When I asked Garmin about this they pointed out that the gaps are because the sensor can't acquire data, heart rate and/or Pulse Ox.  The sensor can't acquire the data because the watch is supposedly out of position.

It's annoying that Garmin treats these gaps as no sleep.  So if there is a 1hr gap, and you're asleep from 10pm to 6am there are 7hrs sleep instead of 8.  To me, the Garmin Connect app should treat these gaps as sleep time, and not awake time.
